Meat Manager

Michael’s Fresh Food Market is looking for a meat manager to join the team at Keysborough. This is a full time position with a salary range of  $70,000 – $80,000 per year plus Super.

The successful applicant will have a proven track record of:

• Delivering excellent quality and service standards throughout the department
• Managing a meat department within a supermarket or shop
• Experience in a high volume sales environment
• Achieving sales budgets, gross profits and wage control targets.
• Controlling shrinkage and completing monthly stocktakes
• Rostering that reflects the customer’s needs and at the same time meeting department budgets.
• Maintaining department invoicing and clerical procedures.
• Ordering of stock is relevant to department sales.
• Maintaining correct pricing and ticketing.
• Working well in a fast paced team environment
• Coaching and supporting the development of fellow team members
• Portray a positive attitude and show initiative
• Ensuring all cleaning schedules are maintained.
• Maintain the department to HACCP standards
• Previous experience with dry aged beef (Preferred but not essential)
• Abide by company policies and procedures at all times
